How To Repost Instagram Stories

Reposting stories are similar to posting stories. But here, you post other people’s stories on your account. There are many ways through which you can do that, whether you’ve been tagged or not doesn’t matter.

How To Repost Instagram Stories?

Today’s article is going to explain to you many different ways of reposting an Instagram story on your account.

Reposting an Instagram story where you’re tagged

A story where you’ve been tagged is the easiest to repost. But to repost using this method, first, you need to check one thing about the person’s account whose story you want to repost.

The owner of the account must have story sharing enabled in their account settings.

Below is a step-by-step guide to repost a public/private Instagram story where you have been tagged.

Step 1: Once that person has tagged you and posted their story on their account, you will receive an automatic DM from them. The DM will contain the story where you’re tagged and there will be an option “Add To Your Story“. Click on it.

Step 2: After that, that story will be taken to the story editing section. You can add words or stickers or gifs and edit the story in whichever way you wish to.

Step 3: After you’re done editing, share the story on your account.

Congratulations! You have successfully reposted their story on your Instagram account. This method can be used for both Android and iOS users.

Note: You don’t need to follow the account to repost their story.

Reposting an Instagram story where you’re not tagged

Just because you’re not tagged on a story, doesn’t mean the method to repost it should be difficult. Below are the steps to an easy way of reposting an Instagram story, both photos, and videos, when you have not been tagged.

Step 1: Go to the person’s account and search for the story that you want to repost.

Step 2: For pictures, you can screenshot their story. To save videos, you can use screen recording.

Step 3: Once you’ve saved the story that you want to repost, you can post it on your own story whenever you want.

However, in such cases, it’s always better to ask for permission from the actual owner of the story before reposting it on your account.

Note: To implement this method, the person’s account must be public or you must be following them.

In case you aren’t satisfied with this method, we have another one for you. This method involves the use of a third-party app to download stories. Below are the steps.

Step 1: Download any Instagram story saver app from Play Store/ App Store. Though there are many other apps like this, two tested apps for iOS and Android are Story Saver For Me and Instore, respectively. They work fine and are safe but you can use any app of your choice. Refer to the images to identify the apps.
